JUST IN!!! The SSD Review Bench System

In an effort to provide the absolute best in solid state drive testing, The SSD Review has recently built a new bench system in order to remain a step ahead with the expected release of new USB3/SATA 6Gb/s drives.  The complete system is pictured and described below.  New reviews are expected to be complete in the very near future of the OWC Extreme Pro ssd as well as the newly released Crucial C300 64Gb SATA 6Gb/s ssd.

Of particular interest to anyone building a gaming system though is the newly released ASUS Rampage III Gene motherboard which is not only USB3/SATA 6Gb/s compatible but also capable of both SLI and Crossfire on demand.  It adds to that with 'CPU Level Up' which allows the avid gamer to instantly overclock to any i7 processor level with a simple click and the system takes care of the rest.  Our i7-930 is presently set at 3.2Ghz which now brings it up to the i7-970 level which is a substantial savings between the two processors and covered the cost of the board itself.  Also new to the Rampage and ASUS motherboards is ROG Connect which allows the avid OC enthusiast to simply plug in an external laptop and fine tune their speeds on the fly which gets away from the traditional hit and miss methods many were used to.
